Prayers Needed for a fellow D-Mom and her family

Some of you may know. Some may not.

A truly inspirational woman across the Diabetes Online Community, Meri Schuhmacher, author of the blog Our Diabetic Life; fellow d-mom with 4 boys, 3 of which with Type 1 Diabetes, is in need of prayer.

Her husband, Ryan, was recently diagnosed with Metastasized Melanoma, a very serious form of cancer.

He has battled cancer in the past, and was believed to have won that fight. It is back... with a vengeance.

His doctor has found 6 brain tumors, and multiple tumors in his lungs and abdomen.

Ryan, Meri, and their family are now embarking on a long journey. One consisting of  radiation, medications that have recently been approved by the FDA, a roller coaster ride on their emotions, and more than I can even fathom trying to cope with.

This family needs our prayer and support!

The news of this has exploded throughout the DOC (Diabetes Online Community) on Facebook.

Why?

Because Meri has been such a wonderful woman, helping, encouraging, educating, and supporting others living the life of a D-Mom. She has become a wonderful friend to so many, that this news sincerely saddens everyone who she has touched over the years. Other, fellow D-Mom's, have created a Facebook Page for her and her family, to show support. You can find the facebook page here and follow it to stay updated on how things are going for her husband and family. More friends of hers have also created a fundraiser page in her family's honor, to help raise money for her and her family to pay for anything their insurance may not pay for, or help with any other financial difficulties they may come across during this devastating journey.

You can find the fundraiser page below.
