SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!!!

OK, first....

HERE WE GO STEELERS! HERE WE GO!

Ahh, now that I got that out of my system! LOL!

Superbowl Sunday. A day that the nation seems to love. We come together with our friends and family for huge superbowl parties. Or, some of us are lucky enough to ATTEND the game! It's a time for fun, laughter, togetherness, parties, and enjoyment!

Today, my husband decided to make 15 bean soup for Superbowl dinner. MMMMM how I LOVE 15 bean soup! The kids love it to!

Superbowl Sunday can be kind of tricky for type 1 diabetics. Esepecially for families still on MDI (multi-daily injection) therapy, or those like us, who continue to maintain scheduled meal/snack times.

Although we may continue to stick to our scheduled meal/snack times, the most important thing to remember is to just have fun!

We all know that highs and lows are bound to happen, regardless of our best efforts. Diabetes has a mind of its own, and sometimes its hard to read its mind!

So remember, have fun, and deal with the highs and lows as they come. Don't stress. Just enjoy the moment. Root for your favorite team (though I'd recommend STEELERS! LOL!), enjoy the company you have, and....

GOOOOOOOO STEELERS!!!!

*The picture above was taken about 4 years ago. My daughter was still a newborn (about 5 months old). I couldn't find a more recent picture of everyone in their steelers gear lol! This was also taken before Lenny was diagnosed.*
